26 in 2026 Alphabet Adventure
Participants will get 26 books in 2026, one title for every letter of the alphabet—from A to Z. Any genre, any format, any author. Just follow the letters and enjoy the journey!
This challenge is designed to spark discovery, push you toward books you might not otherwise pick up, and give you an entire year of community, accountability, and fun.

Read a title that begins with each letter of the alphabet. You'll get a bookmark to stamp for every book you purchase, A through Z.
Exclusive monthly events
The year will start with a junk journaling night to kick off our reading adventure. Then come back all year long for junk journaling and book club events!

Looking to get back into reading? An avid reader, but looking to do something different? This will be a fun challenge to keep us reading and exploring all year!
What to expect:
1. Register for the Challenge
Choose your plan:
$60/month for 12 months, or
$600 for the full year (pay upfront and get 2 months free)
Members receive throughout the year:
26 books of your choosing from A Book Place, one book for each letter of the alphabet*

*Please note, if you are on the monthly subscription, you will only be allowed to pick 2-3 books each month. Please read FAQ for official rules.
2. Read the Alphabet
Select one book per letter, where the first letter of the title matches the letter you’re filling (the / a / an may be skipped when determining the first letter).
Bookmark Tracker: we will stamp your tracker for each book purchased, one for each letter A to Z!
In-Store Alphabet Wall: Once you finish reading each book, come back to the shop to sign our 26 in 2026 letters to show your participation.
3. Earn Rewards Along the Way
Quarterly Milestones: Complete 6 letters each quarter to be entered in quarterly raffles (book bundles, gift cards, merch).
Alpha-Master Completion: Finish reading all 26 books by Dec 31, 2026 to receive a limited-edition certificate, in-store celebration, and entry into the Grand Prize Drawing- a basket of 26 hand-picked A Book Place favorites!

What are the rules for the challenge?
Official Rules
- Registration fee must be paid monthly or upfront; cancellations stop future benefits.
- Books must be picked up between Jan 1 and Dec 31, 2026. After Dec 31, 2026, any unused benefits are forfeited.
- One book may only count toward one letter.
- Please note, if you are on the monthly subscription, you will only be allowed to pick 2-3 books each month and no more than 13 books every 6 months. Hardcover books incur a $5 premium charge at time of purchase.
- You may substitute one “freebie” letter if needed (just once!).
- All sales for this challenge are final, and no refunds can be processed.
- Any substitutions are at the full discretion of A Book Place, and A Book Place reserves the right to determine which titles qualify for the challenge.
How will I choose which books to read?
We are happy to help! Come by the store (or give us a call) and we can make recommendations on titles for the letter you are looking for. While we designed this reading adventure to be completed alphabetically throughout the year, you are not required to complete it in that order, only that you read one title for each letter.
Can I start the challenge after January?
We would love to have more participants join us in this reading adventure in 2026! Please note that after January 31, 2026, only the annual subscription will be available.
